A classical approach for a garden room on top of a 17th century London townhouse. Followed earlier phase of work in 1997.
The house adjoins the Globe Theatre and the Thames embankment and has a fabulous view. The rooftop terrace catches the sun and has a 200-degree view of the Thames, whilst the conservatory provides living space overlooking the Tate Modern.
Ventilation shutters are placed behind the columns. Windows open inwards for cleaning and the roof glazing is self-cleaning. The house had decentralised heating originally with open fires lit by the butler. Central heating was installed discreetly as well as additional bathrooms.
