Originally a cottage and forge, this property had been altered and extended on several previous occasions. The result was disjointed, without a covered link between the various buildings. The brief was to create an enlarged kitchen and dining space rationalising the first floor over.
Occupying a sloping site and with constraints imposed by the existing first floor windows, the solution was to extend centrally to form a dining room link with a green roof. Sliding pivot doors, and corner window link the new space with the terraced garden beyond.
